KEARNEY USBC MEMBERSHIP
MEETING
Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
The meeting
was called to order shortly after 7:00 p.m. on October 18, 2017 with
63 members in attendance. The chairman of the merger committee
introduced the people on the merger committee which consisted of
four members from the men, women, and youth associations. The
first item on the agenda was the adoption of new bylaws for the
merged association. Proposed bylaws from the merger committee
were presented to the membership for review. After a few
questions about the size of the new board of directors and the terms
that the various offices would hold, the bylaws were adopted
unanimously by the membership.
The next item
for the membership was to elect the new officers and board members
for the upcoming year. These consisted of a president, 1st
vice-president, 2nd vice president, seven-three year adult board
members, two-one year adult board members, two-three year youth
representatives, and one-one year youth representative. These
offices would be reelected on a staggered system that was described
in the bylaws that were adopted earlier in the evening. This
means that even though someone was elected as a three year board
member or officer, they may only serve two or one year before they
would be up for reelection. Upon reelection of the office, the
office would then serve the full three year term. See below
for the results of the election.
The membership
was thanked for attending and helping in getting the new merged
association organized. The meeting was adjourned a little
before 9:00 p.m.
