League Rules 2026-2027
In April there
will be a scholarship tournament- this will be divided into top 4 placements
*If you are out of high school, you must be attending college with documentation
to participate in the scholarship tournament.
Awards night will be the following week April 13th at 6:30PM.
2. Age limit: The age limit
for Tuesday Night Hot Shots will be U24 with a birthdate of 7/1/2002 or later.
Those that are not actively enrolled in any type of school, may not be part of
the league.
3. Teams: Teams will consist of 3-4 bowlers. Scoring will be on a
4 point system, 1 point per game (3 games) and 1 point for series (total pinfall
of the games). Your Handicap will be sat at 100% of the difference of 200.
4: Cost: The cost per week
will be :$13.50. This will cover your 3 games of bowling, shoe rental (if
needed), and 1 medium drink (non-alcoholic).
*You must pay each week you bowl. If you are unable to pay each week-
arrangements must be made with youth league officials to get caught up. If you
are more than 2 weeks behind, you will need to pay the past due amount before
you may continue in league play.
*There is a cost for joining the USBC
Kearney sanctions (club dues). This cost is for all league bowlers, per league.
A child’s dues are $14.00 and above 18 is $27.00.
5. Making up missed bowling: Ideally if you know you will be gone for any reason- please make up your game ahead of time. This will help your team with points and make updating league stats easier for the next week.
○ *Make up games may not be on Friday or Saturday unless Prior Approval from the Big Apple is made.
○ *Make-up games must be set up by a league official- this means you may not just walk into the center and request to bowl your league games.
○ *All make up recap sheets must go into locker #2- Legibly write to include: Your first AND last name, the week being bowled, and your scores for the 3 games.

Kearney High Bowlers: Bowlers who are bowling for the Kearney
High Team will be ineligible to bowl Tuesday Hot Shots League during their time
of competition.
* During this time, you may make up your games ahead of time, the
same rules as make up games apply. You must let the league director know, and
get approval from the Big Apple.
*The games must also be paid for when making up.
7. Unified Bowling: You may bowl in a unified club while in the youth league.
8. Cancellations: All Cancellations will be posted to our Facebook page as well as kearneybowling.com. The decision to cancel due to weather will be made before 4:00 PM the day of league. NOTE: If league has not cancelled and you do not feel the conditions are suitable for you to be out in- please let the director know, Safety is always first.
9. Pace of Play: PLEASE
BE UP TO BOWL WHEN IT IS YOUR TURN!
You will receive 2 warnings, on the 3rd time you are reminded to be
up to bowl, the league officials have the authority to give you a “0” for the
frame and you will miss your turn.
10. Behavior: Abusive and disruptive behavior and/or bullying will NOT be tolerated at any point. All persons and facilities are to be treated respectfully and with dignity. This includes equipment and machines of the Big Apple. Also, running around, going to the game room, and “horse-play” will not be allowed for the safety of bowlers and spectators. Please keep electronic items at the tables or put them away.
11. Alcohol/ Tobacco: Per USBC rules and regulations- absolutely NO alcohol or tobacco/vape usage will be permitted during league play. This includes the seating area directly behind the lanes.
12. Seating area: USBC rules state that only bowlers and certified staff (Safe Sport Trained) are allowed in the seating area (tile behind the lanes).
13: Safe Sport: Any bowler over the age of 18 years old and/or certified staff must complete Safe Sport Training per USBC rules. If you have any questions about this- please see the director.
14. Fundraising: There will be multiple times to help with fundraising. These funds go towards the end of the year party, patches, awards and scholarship monies for the end of the year scholarship tournament. Your participation is highly encouraged!
15. USBC: We will follow rules set forth by the USBC for league bowling. If you have any questions on rules please see bowl.com or contact your league officials.
